Where is Dittmer's Gourmet Meats & Wurst-Haus located?
Dittmer's is located at 400 San Antonio Road, Mountain View, CA (directly across from the San Antonio Shopping Center). Our store is just two blocks east of El Camino Real and within easy reach of San Francisco, San Jose and the greater Bay Area via Interstate 280 and Highway 101. Printer friendly map.
 
What are Dittmer's store hours?
For your convenience we are open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm,
and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.

What types of meats and sausages does Dittmer's sell?
Dittmer's sells a full range of USDA Choice and Prime fresh meats, Dittmer's own smoked meats, a large variety of fresh made sausages, and our own home made lunch meats.
 
Who makes and prepares the meat products sold at Dittmer's?
Dittmers Does!!!
We handmake, in our store, all of the smoked meats, lunch meats, and sausages that we sell.* We also cut and/or grind all of the fresh meats that we sell.

* Parma Prescuitto and Italian Salami are the exceptions.
 
What deli services does Dittmer's offer?
Dittmer's offers a full service delicatessen. We have a large selection of lunch meats and our lunch menu features a variety of deli sandwiches.
 
Does Dittmer's ship or deliver its products?
Dittmer's does not ship or deliver.
 
Can I purchase Dittmer's products anywhere besides your store?

You won't find Dittmer's products anywhere besides Dittmer's store in Mountain View, that's because we can't guarantee the freshness of our products unless you purchase directly from us.
 
Is it true I can have my knives sharpened at Dittmer's?
Yes, at Dittmer's we understand the value and necessity of a well sharpened knife, and therefore we offer a professional knife sharpening service on one Saturday every month. Click here, for the next sharpening service date.
 
SPECIAL AND CUSTOM ORDERS
Does Dittmer's accept special orders?
Yes, Dittmer's does accept special orders for rare cuts of meats, smoked turkeys, and large sausage orders. You may also place an order to make sure that we have a certain item for that special occasion. Turn around times and availability vary.
 
What items must be ordered in advance? (Holiday orders)

During the Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons Dittmer's requests that you place your orders in advance for some items.

For Thanksgiving and Christmas, advance orders are required for smoked turkeys, fresh Diestel turkeys, hams and rib roasts. Deadlines for placing orders will be announced as the holidays approach.
 
Can Dittmer's make a custom variety of sausage just for me?

Yes. Although Dittmer's regularly makes over 40 types of sausages, there is a possibility that we don't make a sausage that you would like to have. In such instances, using either your own recipe or one of ours, we can make a sausage to meet your needs. There is a 25 pound minimum order for custom made sausages. Call us for more details.
